They actually believe that they can get us "evicted" if after we move in they can prove state aid.
It is a massive ego trip. They have become drunk on the whiff of a bit of infamy and perceived power.
Reality is they will get a lollipop and a pat on the head, we will still move in and nothing will change.
They will eventually get bored once they realise their campaign was futile and fade into history.

To be fair, posting on Charlton Life probably was a massive mistake. I thought it could have been possible to have a proper debate on there and excahnge arguments.
Which is obviously impossible if both parties are entrenched in this matter in a very emotional manner.
They are convinced we are cheats and have done the LLDC over (and subsequently raped the taxpayer).
While most fans (even those who are generally against our move) from our club would argue we have simply made the best of an opportunity presented to us.

Nothing will ever satisfy that lot. As someone else said we could pay for the whole conversion plus 15 million rent a year plus invite the poor and needy from Newham once every week for an all you can eat buffet and they'd still be crying about state aid and why West Ham only offer the buffet once a week and only to residents of Newham.
It's true of course. Nothing that Gavros or I have posted on there has made any difference to the Charlton geezers, same as they will not be able to convince us it is all one big fat conspiracy.
Reading about the appeal and the chance that this can be appealed again this will take ages to sort out. The LLDC appear clearly willing not to let anyone muck about with that deal at this stage.

West Ham said they would be happy because West Ham arent the ones who had to make the appeal.
In fact I'm sure there is stuff in the that West Ham would not want published, ever, but they realise there's nothing they can do about it. this is just a can kicking exercise while the LLDC tries to nail down some more deals.

We said we would be happy to which is different as it's not upto us or in our remit to release any info at all it's upto the LLDC, no?

Exactly El. 2 seperate statements. Whilst we are happy to release the exact ammount the LLDC are not due to reasons stated which are understandable.
